Cosmetic Surgery Steering Group
The Group's terms of reference were:
To oversee the implementation of the recommendations in the Report of the Expert Group on the Regulation of Cosmetic Surgery by:
- drawing up an agreed implementation timetable for each recommendation;
- monitoring action towards implementing each recommendation;
- reporting to the Chief Medical Officer twice annually on progress towards implementation.
- providing advice on and evidence to the Chief Medical Officer of any further action which may need to be taken in the future to secure improved patient safety.
