The work of the Department is varied, exciting, challenging and rewarding. The main sections of the DH website provide an insight into the diversity of the work of the Department and how we work with the NHS and social care workforce. The DH offers both full and part-time positions and all staff are recruited through an application process. Staff contribute a range of skills acquired in the voluntary, private and public sector. Previous experience in a government department is not essential to apply for a post.
