Clare Chapman

As Director General of Workforce, Clare Chapman is responsible for workforce issues in the NHS and social care system. Clare was appointed to the position in January 2007.

Clare has more than 20 years of personnel experience in the UK, USA and Europe. Before joining the Department she was Group Personnel Director at Tesco.

Her previous roles include Vice President of Human Resources at Pepsi Cola International’s Central Europe Operations offices, and Dean of Quaker University at Quaker Oats Incorporated, where she established the company’s worldwide learning institute.
