Draft Practice Guidance for Consultation (February 2002)
In response to comments on the draft statutory guidance, that councils needed stronger guidance on disability expenditure assessment, we promised to issue practice guidance. The practice guidance will also cover the provision of benefits advice along with charge assessments, as this is another new requirement for local councils.
The draft practice guidance is being issued on 14 February for a consultation period lasting four weeks, and we would welcome any comments you may have, by 13 March 2002.
There will be a short consultation period for the practice guidance, which is being issued to help with implementation of the guidance Fairer Charging Policies for Home Care and other non-residential Social Services.Contact Information
