This document summarises the responses to the consultation on proposed reimbursement for items and indicates next steps.

This consultation sought comments on:

  • Proposal to improve the classification of stoma and incontinence items within Part IX of the Drug Tariff to ensure that products that meet similar medical need can be priced comparatively.
  • Proposal to make reductions to current reimbursement prices for some stoma and incontinence appliances under the Drug Tariff as the current reimbursement prices may not represent value for money for the NHS or taxpayers
