Description - the Department of Health's interactive service providing access to bibliographic details and the text of Departmental circulars, including a complete listing of current Local Authority Circulars (LACs) and Local Authority Social Services Letters (LASSLs). Publications (previously known as "Publications on the Internet" - POINT) - description
The Department of Health's interactive service providing access to bibliographic details of Departmental publications from 1996, with full text of publications where available electronically.

Advice to and information for the public; Advice, guidance and instructions to NHS bodies and personnel and those under contract to NHS (good practice and information to); Advice and guidance to Social Service Departments, and private and voluntary social care providers; Advice, guidance and instructions to independent health care providers; Health related material or research commissioned by DH with author or author's organisation copyright; NHS publications; Office for National Statistics publications; Statistical publications including those no longer current; Audit Commission; Social Services Inspection published reports (national); Local Social Service inspection reports (numbered series); Official inquiry reports; Health information for overseas travellers; Government responses to inquiries and Health Committee papers; Information strategy documents; Training and resource packs; Conference/seminar papers; Codes of practice; White papers; Green papers; Command papers.

Description - The Information Asset Register lists information held by the Department, concentrating on unpublished resources. Available - On Department's Internet site and also via the Office of Public Sector Information's (OPSI) Inforoute which is the gateway to the Government's Information Asset Register (IAR).
