Description - National Statistics. Presents detailed statistics on adoptions of children who were looked after by local councils in England prior to being adopted.

Description - National Statistics. Presents detailed commentary and comprehensive explanation of the figures at both England and local authority level

Children Looked After by Local Authorities, England, statistical bulletin

Description - National Statistics. Contains statistics on children who were looked after by local authorities. The figures are derived from statistical returns submitted to the Department of Health by local authorities in England with social services responsibilities. Nearly all the information is derived from the aggregate return CLA 100 and detailed child histories collected on form SSDA 903 for a one-third sample of all children who were looked after.

The Mental Health of Children and Adolescents in Great Britain

Description - National Statistics. A five yearly survey to estimate the prevalence of the mental disorders of children. The fieldwork will be undertaken in early 2004.

Availability - Every five years with initial headline figures of main survey available in late 2004 and the full report available in Summer/Autumn 2005.

Cost - Main reports are priced publications available through The Stationery Office. Booklet summarising key results is free of charge. Free on DH web site.

The Mental Health of Children and Adolescents Looked After by Local Authorities in England

Description - National Statistics. A new five yearly survey to estimate the prevalence of the mental disorders of children looked after in England.

Availability - Every five years with a full report due in Spring 2003.
