Ophthalmic Statistics for England, statistical bulletin

Description - National Statistics. Presents summary information about General Ophthalmic Services in England. The statistics are derived both from data provided by Health Authorities, which contract with ophthalmic practitioners to provide NHS sight tests and optical vouchers, and from the practitioners themselves.

Description - Presents consultant outpatient activity by sector, summary of ward attendances and accident and emergency service activity

Prescription Cost Analysis, England, statistical publication

Description - National Statistics. Prescription Cost Analysis (PCA) provides details of the number of items and the net ingredient cost of all prescriptions dispensed in the community in England. The prescription items dispensed are listed alphabetically within chemical entity (for drugs) by British National Formulary (BNF) therapeutic class. Prescription Cost Analysis (PCA) data are based on information obtained from prescriptions sent to the Prescription Pricing Authority (PPA) for payment. Currently PCA data cover all prescriptions dispensed in the community, i.e. by community pharmacists, appliance contractors, dispensing doctors, and items personally administered by doctors. Covers data for one year.

Prescriptions dispensed in the community, England, statistical bulletin

Description - National Statistics. Presents a summary of prescriptions dispensed in the community. The statistics cover all prescriptions dispensed by community pharmacists, appliance contractors and dispensing doctors, as well as prescriptions for items personally administered. The bulletin highlights recent changes and main trends over a ten year period.
