The Freedom of Information Act requires all public bodies with a publication scheme to specify the classes of information that it publishes. It is the intention of the DH to publish as much information as possible on subjects in which there is known to be public interest. However, exemptions under the Freedom of Information Act may prevent some information from being released. The Department of Health has arranged the classes of information into the broad categories below.
