Question

List of prisons in England and Wales that provide pharmaceutical services, and contain a prison pharmacy on site.

Response

The work on modernising pharmacy services for prisoners, set out in the publication, A pharmacy service for prisoners, allows for local determination of pharmacy service provision. In the light of this the information requested is not available centrally without completing an up to date survey of the current status of all public and contracted prisons in England.     

However, we have details of prisons that have pharmacists in them, in England and Wales,at March 2005. This information is published below.
