The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) booklet Working with the European Union: A Practical Guide to the EU provides information on the EU so that business, and also employees and consumers, can engage in, or further, their EU operations. It outlines how the EU works; its structure, institutions and processes. It also provides an overview of support and opportunities offered, including how to get involved in the law-making process, accessing EU funding and pan European business-to-business (B2B) networks, and getting in touch with EU stakeholders.

This report of the Healthcare Industries Task Force provides a programme of action aimed at benefiting patients and the NHS and stimulating science and industry in the UK to improve growth in manufacturing, investment, employment and exports.
International trade is vital to the UK economy. The healthcare industry makes an important contribution both in the export market and developing new technology for healthcare.
Effective trade promotion is about robust networks, collaboration and co-operation. It is precisely because of this that the Department of Health International (DHI) has been revitalised to work with its partners in Government and industry. This report charts the progress which has been made during the last year.
