Redford Court, Liverpool

Redford Court is a purpose-built residential rehabilitation service for adults with acquired brain injury. It provides highly individualised support for people with an acquired brain injury, including opportunities for vocational rehabilitation through college and work placements.

'Move on' accommodation is available for people who are able and wish to leave Redford Court. The service has built a bungalow, containing four independent living flats, a staff sleep-in room and 24 hour staffing by trained rehabilitation support workers. The scheme was developed through strategic partnerships between the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust, local social services and primary care trusts.

People who use the service are involved in developing it; they currently contribute to the recruitment process by actively assisting managers to shortlist, interview and select employees.
