Contractual framework for community pharmacy
The new contractual framework for community pharmacy agreed for England and Wales between the Department, the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC) and the NHS Confederation, completes a long-held ambition to modernise and shape NHS community pharmacy services for the future.

Review of NHS pharmaceutical contract arrangements
In January 2007, the Government announced, by way of a Written Ministerial Statement, a review of NHS pharmaceutical contractual arrangements, chaired by Anne Galbraith.
Medicines Use Review
As an advance service of the community pharmacy contractual framework, pharmacies may offer Medicines Use Reviews (MURs). An MUR is between a pharmacist and a patient to discuss the patient’s medication and support them in getting the most from their medicines.
