Electronic Prescription Service
The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) will allow a patient's prescription to be sent electronically from their GP to a pharmacy. Patients can nominate a preferred pharmacy. Dispensers will be able to submit reimbursement claims electronically.
Guidance for PCTs
We are now at Release 2 of the electronic prescription service (EPS), where prescriptions can be transmitted electronically. These directions are for the PCTs that are initial implementers of the service.
