The Department of Health has put in place a range of underpinning work to support implementation of the Long-term (Neurological) Conditions NSF. This page provides information on the Neurological Advisory Panel and Stakeholder Briefing Group. It also provides information on the people in Strategic Health Authorities and Primary Care Trusts with lead responsibility for the NSF.
Neurological Advisory Panel
A strategic advisory group chaired by Professor Ian Philp, National Director for Older People and Neurological Conditions and Kathryn Hudson, National Director for Social Care. Membership of the group:

The group meets on a regular basis to:
- advance ownership and national leadership of the NSF;
- identify ways of raising the profile of the NSF among the wider statutory, voluntary and independent sectors;
- identify the contribution the organisations can make to delivering the NSF;
- deepen the understanding of the key issues in improving services for people with long-term neurological conditions;
- think collectively about driving forward improvements in support for people with neurological conditions in the context of wider government support for people with long-term conditions.
