The ASSET Tool is intended to help health care organisations transform and improve stroke services for patients. It is intended to be an evolving resource.
The national service framework (NSF) for older people sets new national standards and service models of care across health and social services for all older people, whether they live at home, in residential care or are being looked after in hospital. The aim of the NSF Standard Five is to reduce the incidence of stroke in the population and ensure that those who have had a stroke have prompt access to integrated stroke care services. More about the progress of the NSF for older people, including information on stroke care can be found in the older people’s section of the site.
