  • Last modified date:
    8 February 2007

One of a range of IM&T related topics which underpin the primary care modernisation agenda.

The computer reimbursement scheme is detailed in paragraph 58 of the Statement of Fees and Allowances. Briefly the scheme allows health authorities to directly reimburse a proportion of the costs incurred by a practitioner, restricted principal, partnership or group practice in:-

i. purchasing or upgrading a computer system;

ii. leasing a computer system;

iii. maintaining the associated hardware and software;

iv. paying the staff costs associated with setting up the computer system.
