Following publication of the contract on 26 February 2003, there were further discussions between the NHS Confederation and GPC negotiators. These focussed on technical issues around the allocation formula and a number of issues on which both GPs and PCOs sought clarification. Two letters setting out the detail of these issues were sent by the NHS Confederation and GPC to all GPs.
