Quality and Outcomes Framework - Business Rulesets

This is the latest version of the Business Rulesets (July 2005), which have been updated to take account of the January 2004 & July 2005 Read Code Releases. Please note that due to scheduling issues with SNOMED-CT, these versions only include SNOMED-CT up to January 2005. The rulesets continue to be split into two sets, one for Read Code Version 0 and the other set for Read Codes version 2, CTV3 and SNOMED-CT. These documents will be further revised in line with the Read Code/SNOMED-CT release schedule.

All changes in this version are shown in red font within the documents.

QOF Implementation: Business Rules 2006 - 2007

The business rules on the Primary Care Contracting website are for use with the revised QOF which came into operation on 1 April 2006. This is the officially published version and should be used for all matters relating to the technical requirements for correctly recording QOF information on the new, revised and unchanged indicators. The Rules have two versions for each indicator set, depending on whether the GP system uses Version 0 or version 2 of READ codes.
