Modernisation Agency support for role redesign

The Modernisation Agency's New Ways of Working programme supports the implementation of some of the major modernising initiatives in the NHS, including Agenda for Change, the Changing Workforce Programme and the new consultant contract.

New Ways of Working also have pilot projects on retention and recruitment, implementing the European Working Time Directive (EWTD), New Ways of Working in Surgery and Perioperative Specialist Practitioner and collaborative local support for strategic health communities.
