Education and training contract

A number of models have been produced to accommodate the differing commissioning regimes that may apply to primary care trusts (PCTs) when contracting with NHS foundation trusts (NHSFTs).

Contracts

With the establishment of NHSFTs previous service level agreements (SLAs) for multi-professional education and training (MPET) activity and resources will become legally binding contracts.

For 2004-2005 training contracts will be a pragmatic interim 'wrapper' document. It is intended that a single learning and development contract will be produced for 2005-2006. Please refer to the Model Contract and implementation guide below.
