Technical guidance for PCTs on populating the template with figures.

Management information template

The latest version of the Management Information Template is now available. This updated version (Version 2), incorporates the National Tariff and uses Payment by Result rules to calculate short stay reductions, long stay top ups and specialist top ups. As before, feedback is welcome and can be sent to the PBC mailbox

The template comes in two files - an Excel spreadsheet and an Access database.

Please note:

Internet Explorer users may have difficulty downloading the Access database.  Please follow these instructions:

  1. Right-click the link
  2. Select 'Save Target As...' which should bring up a new window.
  3. On this window you will need to change 'Save as type' at the bottom of the window which is defaulted to 'HTML document'.  Please change this to 'All Files' by selecting on down arrow on the right-hand side.
  4. Do not change the file name. Please leave it as '04131000'.   You will have the opportunity to change the file name later.
  5. Select an area of your hard drive to save the file.
  6. You can change the file name once you have saved the file on your hard drive.

National averages

This document provides elective and non-elective national average activity data (adjusted by unweighted ONS population figures) for benchmarking purposes where a management information tool has been developed locally.

It is identical to the data provided in the spreadsheet template and will be updated annually.
