From 1 April 2009, provider trusts will no longer be reimbursed for HTCS costs through the PbR tariff. HTCS expenditure should be recharged to the PCT where the patient is ordinarily resident.
Consultation work on the HTCS

HTCS has been subject to a consultation exercise conducted as a result of the “Our Health, our care, our say” White Paper commitment. The results of this consultation work are currently being used to inform changes to the current HTCS scheme that will come into effect in 2008.
