Grants introduced in 1968 to help voluntary organisations whose work supports the Government's health and social care goals.
The Secretary of State for Health, through the Section 64 General Scheme of Grants (S64 of the Health Services and Public Health Act 1968), has power to make grants to voluntary organisations in England whose activities support the Department of Health's policy priorities.
We would like to confirm that there will be a third sector grant funding scheme for 2009-10. Information on how to apply including the funding priorities, criteria for assessment and terms & conditions will be available later in the year once the Third Sector Strategic Funding & Investment Review has published its recommendations. At this stage in the process we are unable to confirm the date we will be open for applications. We would advise you to check this website regularly for updates. We will also email organisations registered with us when we have more news. Information relating to the 2008-09 scheme is still available for reference only through the following link.
