Stakeholders' conference for the professional regulation reforms, 5 June 2007
On 21st February 2007 the Government published two documents: a White Paper, Trust, Assurance and Safety - the regulation of health professionals in the 21st century, and Safeguarding Patients - the Government's response to the recommendations of the Shipman Inquiry’s fifth report and to the recommendations of the Ayling, Neale and Kerr/Haslam Inquiries.
As part of the implementation planning, the Department of Health (DH) held a stakeholder conference to discuss the proposed membership, terms of reference and work programmes of the various working groups that will be taking the work forward. The Department is grateful for all those who contributed towards making the event a success, through organising, attending and providing feedback on it to officials.
