Secretary of State announces Medical Revalidation Pilots (26 January 2010)
Over 3,000 doctors will test out a new system of strengthened appraisal in ten areas in England, the Health Secretary announced this week. They will play a vital role in testing the components of revalidation as we move towards its introduction. Pilots will be independently evaluated and they will test the role of the responsible officer and proposals for a strengthened form of medical appraisal.
NHS staff well-being workshops
The Department of Health is working alongside the Strategic Health Authorities to run four regional workshops to help NHS managers understand the local evidence that can help inform a well-being strategy, and share best practice of real-life success stories.
NHS Employers Conference
Delegates to the NHS Employers annual conference in Birmingham in November were delighted to see workforce experts grilled in the famous Mastermind chair on topical issues, including Health and Well-being, the NHS Constitution, Medical Revalidation, and Leadership.
