Black History Month 2008

NHS Choices is marking Black History Month with a collection of features on  a selection of African-Carribean healthcare staff and patients, and the positive difference each of them is making to the lives of others.

From an A&E surgeon who visits schools to talk about the effects of knife crime, to a teenager with sickle cell anemia who is spreading awareness of the condition, each interview offers insight into the valuable contribution these people are making to their local communities and further afield.
