New GMS contract 2006/07

NHS Employers have announced changes to the new GMS contract for 2006/07.

NHS Employers will be leading implementation on behalf of the Department of Health and will issue guidance to PCTs and practices in late January 2006.

NHS Primary Care Contracting will be working with NHS Employers to support the implementation process through a series of events for PCTs.

More details on the changes will be available in the first instance on their websites.

The Department of Health will lead on the relevant legislative changes, which will be made available on this website in due course, in addition to the details of the agreement when these are published by NHS Employers.

Changes to nGMS contract for 2006/07

Barbara Hakin, lead negotiator for NHS Employers GMS review team wrote to all PCT and SHA Chief Executives on 20 December to provide a comprehensive and financial articulation of the agreement reached with the General Practitioners Committtee on nGMS contract changes for 2006/07.
