Outlines DH policy, including policy for the general procurement and tender process, legal obligations, environmental issues, and gives details of European Union tendering timetables.
Terms and conditions
DH uses its own terms and conditions, rather than those of the supplier. If a Purchase Order has been placed under an existing DH contract, or under a framework contract, the supplier should have been issued with a copy of the specific Conditions for that Agreement. Otherwise, the Purchase Order is subject only to the DH standard 'Conditions of Supply for Purchase Orders', a copy of which is available for viewing here.
European Union requirements
The EU has procurement rules which apply to public authorities, including DH. The rules set out detailed procedures for the award of contracts whose value equals or exceeds specific thresholds.
