Treasury Taskforce Technical Note 1: How to account for PFI transactions

This Note is for use by contracting authorities/financial advisers to determine the accounting treatment of PFI transactions and for public sector auditors who will need to comment on the proposed accounting treatment. It will also be used by procurement teams who will need to understand how accounting judgements will be made so that they can ensure the necessary data is available.

This technical note should be read in conjunction with the guidance on land and buildings in PFI schemes.
