NHS design champions

In support of NHS governance arrangements for assuring design quality, this explanatory leaflet sets out the Design Champion initiative and what the role of the design champion is. It also provides information on what design quality is and ways in which design champions can go about achieving it. The Department of Health recommends that design champions are a board level appointment for all trusts and PCTs and that they should be involved in both capital development projects and ongoing initiatives to improve the patient environment.
