Forthcoming work

  • Last modified date:
    8 February 2007

The following piece of work is under consideration:

Revision of existing business case guidance

Current IM&T business case guidance is shown elsewhere on this website, in the section entitled "Investment in IM&T in the NHS" (paragraph on "Current guidance"). We are currently starting work to revise this guidance, and in particular the documents "IM&T business case guidance" and "Guidance on handling IM&T within builds". The purpose of the revisions is to take on board recent developments such as changes in the Treasury's "Green Book" guidance on economic appraisals. The revised versions will still adhere to the same basic business case principles but there will be changes in, for example, the details of the way in which economic appraisals are carried out. Drafts of the revised documents are expected to be available soon.
