Standard contract
This is the most recently amended version of the standard form for project agreements.
Standard contract
In August 2003 the Department's Private Finance Unit introduced a second revision to the standard Form of Project agreement, superseding the version first published in November 2000. Documents tracking changes/amendments to the August 2003 version and new drafting to reflect the latest Treasury guidance on permitted borrowings and senior debt amounts were published in July 2004. Further changes were published in February 2006 which as well as revisions/updates include for the first time a standard form Early Works Agreement and a new Payment Mechanism and supporting Energy Principles Paper resulting from last year's consultation exercise. The payment mechanism has been further revised and a final version was published in February 2007.

The Government agreed in July 2002 to produce a 'Plain English Summary' version of the Standard Form Contract and an 'Executive Summary' of the final Full Business Case to be used by Trusts with PFI schemes
