The Department of Health is seeking a supplier to provide an independent annual survey to determine the mainstream yields of tar, nicotine and carbon monoxide from all the major brands, new brands and infrequent brands of cigarettes on sale in the United Kingdom in pursuance of Section 5 of the Tobacco products(Manufacture, Presentation and Sale) (Safety) Regulations 2002, implementing EU Directive 2001/37/EC.
