Management of a scheme to accredit Health and Social Care Information

  • Last modified date:
    15 October 2008

The Department is seeking expressions of interest by 17 November 2008 from suppliers to operate a scheme to accredit health and social care information, to be launched in Summer 2009. The supplier will be responsible for the majority of business functions of the service, including customer and market management, brand management, programme management, delivery and operations, marketing and promotion. The successful bidder will equally demonstrate credibility across both health and social care in order to deliver the scheme effectively.

The scheme will provide a nationally-recognised way to assure people that health and social care information they use is from a reputable, reliable source and to improve the quality of information produced.

  • A contract notice has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU)
  • Organisations wanting to express an interest in this requirement should complete the PQQ using the Department’s Supplier e-tendering portal.
  • A briefing event is being held on 21 October in Skipton House, at which suppliers can learn more about the scheme and this contract opportunity.  Organisations interested in attending this event should register via the e-tendering portal.

Closing date 17 November 2008
