NHS Alliance conference
Engage and deliver - delivering the vision by engaging the professionals and the public is the NHS Alliance's sixth annual conference and exhibition, taking place on 9-10 October.
Aimed at key primary care stakeholders, planned themes for discussion include PCTs and the new GP contract and bringing integrated medicines into primary care.
The keynote address will be given by health secretary John Reid, while other speakers include GP and national clinical director for primary care David Colin-Thome and NHS Modernisation Agency director David Fillingham.
It takes place at Bournemouth International Conference Centre.

Improving Working Lives conference for doctors
Taking Forward a Shared Agenda is a conference aimed at all doctors from both primary and secondary care, as well as managers.
It will offer doctors across the NHS the opportunity to share good practice and discuss the progress being made towards supporting doctors in the work place.
It takes place in London on 30 October.

Practitioners with special interests (PwSI) national event
A conference examining special interest roles within primary care is being held on 6 November in London.
It is sponsored by the National Primary and Care Trust Development Programme and is endorsed by the Royal College of General Practitioners, the Royal College of Nursing and the Allied Health Professionals Forum.
The conference is open to doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, chief executives, directors and managers in finance, commissioning, modernisation, service development within strategic health authorities, PCTs and acute trusts.
