Self-management: the confidence to choose
A one-day conference from the Expert Patients Programme (EPP) and the Long-term Medical Conditions Alliance (LMCA) is being held at the Royal College of Physicians in London on 26 April.
There are 17 million people in the UK living with chronic disease and a programme of self-management by patients offers many benefits to individuals and to the NHS.
The conference will draw on the skills and experiences of people who have been involved with the LMCA and the EPP and provide practical examples of how they can improve the lives of those with a chronic disease.
