Duncan Selbie, Commissioning Director at the Department of Health, and Bernard Crump, Chief Executive of the NHS Institute of Innovation and Improvement, have written to the Chief Executives of acute hospital NHS Trusts and Foundation Trusts and to PCTs about the publication of the Productivity Indicators/Metrics.

4. Local Delivery Plan 2005-2008 Phase III Referral to Treatment Plans and Update on Next Steps (Gateway reference number: 7119)

Good practice guidance has been prepared jointly by DH and Connecting for Health for organisations undertaking a PAS replacement. It recommends a number of actions that organisations might take before, during and after “go live” to safeguard operational performance if the project does not deliver within the expected timeframe.
