We are asking PCTs to provide information on a monthly basis about the numbers of smokers entering treatment and setting a quit date and the numbers recorded as quit at 4 weeks. A brief summary of the definitions to be used is provided as an annex to this letter.
The first (voluntary) collection will relate to the cumulative position from 1 April 2007 to 31 May 2007, and will be due for completion by close on 23 July 2007.
The first mandated collection will be the cumulative position to end June, and will be due in by 14 August 2007.
