Maintaining High Professional Standards in the Modern NHS

The collated reports of monthly statistical summaries from NHS Trusts usually sent to the Department of Health should now be sent to the National Clinical Assessment Authority (NCAA) which has taken over the responsibility of maintaining statistics in this area.

Under para 38 of HSC 2003/012 'Maintaining High Professional Standards in the Modern NHS', SHAs are required to send the collated reports of the monthly statistical summaries from NHS  Trusts to the Department of Health.

The Department of Health has agreed with the National Clinical Assessment Authority (NCAA) that reports should now be sent to the NCAA which has taken over the responsibility of maintaining the statistics in this area.
