The Department of Health have been advised of an incident involving the death of a technician after apparently suffering oxygen deprivation whilst filling a flask with liquid Nitrogen. Trusts are advised to ensure safe systems of work and emergency procedures are in place if liquid Nitrogen is produced, delivered or used on the premises.
