All cancer patients should have access to high quality care, increased cure rates and improved quality of life. The attached guidance applies these principles to services for colorectal cancer. It is the second publication in a series of guidance on the more common cancer sites as part of the rolling programme for implementation of the 'Policy Framework for Commissioning Cancer Services'. The first on improving outcomes in breast cancer was published in July 1996.
