This letter draws NHS Trusts' and health authorities' attention to the publication of reports of the review of breast cancer services in Exeter and the inquiry into cervical screening services at Kent and Canterbury. In the light of recommendations in those reports, the letter requires NHS Trusts and health authorities to review the management arrangements and quality standards for the screening programmed. It also notifies them of changes to the arrangements for quality assurance for breast and cervical screening.
