The National Specialist Commissioning Advisory Group (NSCAG) advises the Secretary of State on arrangements for the provision of highly specialised services and on the funding required for those services which are funded centrally and overseen by the Group. Within the publication are the Group's Commissioning Intentions, informing health authority purchasers about existing nationally designated services and those which the Secretary of State has agreed should be designated and centrally funded from 1 April 1998.
