This letter is to set out the cost limits and building cost location factors for both the cost rent scheme and improvement grants for 1997/98. An amendment to the Statement of Fees and Allowances (SFA) has been agreed with the profession to take effect from 1 April 1997. A copy is enclosed with this letter and I should be grateful if Directors of Finance would arrange for a copy to be sent to GP practices in their area who are undertaking new cost rent projects using the existing Cost Rent Schedules. A formal amendment to the SFA will follow in due course.
