This circular is a replacement for the existing circular FHSL (94)30. In addition it introduces new guidance in respect of the retention of GP medical records relating to persons serving in HM Armed Forces or those serving a period of imprisonment.
HSC 1998/217 replaced circular FHSL (94)30.
HSC 1998/217 was replaced by Records management: NHS code of practice: Parts 1 and 2 (April 2006)
