This circular draws the attention of recipients to changes from the Professions Supplementary to Medicine Act 1960 to the Health Professions Order 2001 and to restrictions on employment of the health professions regulated by the Health Professions Order 2001 (previously known as "professions supplementary to medicine". It also asks recipients to ensure that appropriate arrangements are made to verify registration. Issued with The National Health Service (Employment of Health Professionals) (England) Directions 2003.
