HSG(92)8 dated 23 January 1992 provides guidance to the NHS on dealing with patients who die in hospital. This guidance is supplementary to the original and sets out the minimum standards for funeral and burial or cremation arrangements where NHS Trusts take responsibility for these arrangements.
