This circular provides details on the 2004-05 auditor certification arrangements for the following Children's Services grants: Choice Protects, Adoption Support and Special Guardianship, Integrated Children's Services. It also includes a form (at Annex A) to be used by those authorities in receipt of the Regional Development Workers grant or the Looked After Children Taskforce grant to give a certified statement of expenditure, to be submitted to the Secretary of State by 30 September 2005.
Although many of the Department of Health's Children and Families functions have transferred to the Department for Education and Skills (DfES), these circulars will continue to be issued in the Local Authority Circular (LAC) series for the foreseeable future.
