LAC (2006)4: Social Services National Training Strategy (NTS) Grant and Human Resources Development Strategy (HRDS) Grant 2006/2007 and 2007/2008

The Local Authority Social Services Letter LASSL(2005)6 issued on 5 December 2005 notified local authorities of their respective shares (in £000s) of the Department of Health's specific revenue and capital grants available for adults' social care and for children's services: Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services. This is the first time a LASSL has provided details of PSS settlement for two financial years. This circular confirms at £ level the actual allocations for 2006/7 and provision allocations for 2007/8 for the Social Services National Training Strategy (NTS) Grant and the Human Resources Development Strategy (HRDS) Grant. The purpose of these grants is to develop social care staff working in both adults' and children services. Further information about the grants can be found in Annex 1 for the NTS grant and Annex 2 for the HRDS grant.
